Rivals.com National Recruiting Analyst Barry Every breaks down the top prospects at the National Ultimate 100 camp from the classes of 2012 and 2013.


NUC Ultimate 100: Underclassmen Standouts
BRALON ADDISON, 5-10/182, WR, MISSOURI CITY (TEXAS) HIGHTOWER (2012)
ASSETS: Excellent body structure, precise route running, soft hands and tremendous body control.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Look for Addison to run track or obtain a personal coach in order to improve his 40-speed. Right now his football speed is amazing so he is just chasing a number.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: During individual work he was able to show off his incredible hand-eye coordination making catches that no one in his age group could make. His overall performance was good enough to earn him WR MVP honors for the class of 2012.
CONCLUSION: This athlete really reminds me of Ryan Broyles of Oklahoma. He is the type of slot receiver that can take over a game with superior route running and hands. Addison will become a double-digit offer guy before his recruiting is over.
LANDON COLLINS, 6-0/199, S, DUTCHTOWN (LA.) (2012)
ASSETS: Possibly the prettiest prospect on the hoof regardless of age, very physical and excellent ball skills.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to stay low in his backpedal which will help him change directions while reacting to the receiver.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Was very dominant during one-on-ones, crushing several receivers into the boundary and not allowing them to run their routes. He also looked extremely athletic during agilities. Collins left this event as the most decorated player. He earned DB MVP, ATH MVP and 7-on-7 Tournament MVP.
CONCLUSION: Collins already has impressed the LSU coaching staff and earned a verbal offer. Look for him to not only be one of the most heavily recruited players in Louisiana but also one of the top three prospects in the Pelican state.
BRYAN DRISKELL, 5-7/160, APB, MCKINNEY (TEXAS) BOYD (2013)
ASSETS: Very quick, good ball skills and excellent balance.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Will need to add some size and strength over the next few years in order to become an every-down player.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: He was a wizard going through the agility stations, moving his feet like a dancer. Driskell used fluid movements as a ball carrier and receiver during individual work. His efforts earned him RB MVP for the class of 2013.
CONCLUSION: Has a lot of the same qualities of Texas Tech APB Eric Stephens. Driskell will get a chance to prove himself on the varsity squad this fall playing alongside his brother who led the team in receptions in 2009.
CHRIS FAIRCHILD, 6-2/275, OG, OAK HILL (OHIO) (2012)
ASSETS: Excellent overall body structure and very strong while also being light on his feet.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: This converted defensive lineman is still getting the hang of pass protecting. Once he learns to deliver his powerful two-handed punch like a jackhammer he will pummel defenders on a regular basis in these camps.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Proved to be light on his feet during agilities and powerful enough to take on some of the top interior linemen from the senior class.
CONCLUSION: He has a real chance to become a special OG/OC prospect. His height may detract some schools from offering, but that would be their mistake.
GERALD GAFFORD, 5-11/175, ATH, RICHARDSON (TEXAS) BERKNER (2012)
ASSETS: Has a versatile body shape, very quick feet, excellent body control and soft hands.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Seemed to get impatient when the ball was not coming his way. Gafford is too good for this and just needs to relax and work on being a leader.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: He was the only rising junior running back that caught my eye during the agilities. He has the size and athletic ability to project as RB, WR or DB. Gafford was also the hardest back to cover during one-on-ones because of his crisp route running. He would leave with the top RB award for the class of 2012.
CONCLUSION: Gafford had a chance to show off a little last year as a reserve running back averaging over eight yards per carry. Look for him to have a stellar junior campaign while offers start to roll in.
JAY GUILLERMO, 6-2/272, OC, MARYVILLE (TENN.) (2012)
ASSETS: Has good size for a center, light on his feet and a natural hip and knee bender.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Try not to overextend wile pass blocking and just sit back in an imaginary chair and deliver two handed punches. Overextending leaves linemen vulnerable to being snatched by the defender.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: The 2012 OL class was by far the deepest group of potential DI players amongst all linemen. His performance definitely had him in the running for OL MVP because he went up against the best and held his own during one-on-ones using his superior athleticism.
CONCLUSION: Will be starting for one of the top programs in the state of Tennessee. This will only increase the number of looks he will get from college coaches around the Southeast.
JASON HATCHER, 6-2/226, WDE, LOUISVILLE (KY.) TRINITY (2013)
ASSETS: Superior overall body structure, very athletic and really quick off the ball.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Has a tendency to rely solely on his overall athleticism and forgets to work moves while pass-rushing. So increasing his arsenal of pass-rushes will be a must by the time he leaves high school.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Was the most dominant end regardless of age at this event. He used a quick get-off and long, muscular arms to keep offensive linemen off his body. Hatcher was a unanimous selection as DL MVP for the class of 2013.
CONCLUSION: Even though he has three years of high school football left he was the surest bet for a 2013 DI player in this camp. He may even end up projecting as a linebacker before it is all said and done.
GREYSON LAMBERT, 6-5/182, PQB, JESUP (GA.) WAYNE COUNTY (2012)
ASSETS: Has the desired height, good footwork and above-average arm strength with excellent accuracy.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Adding more muscle mass because he is a tall bean pole at this time. This will most likely make his arm strength off the chart.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: He was the most consistent quarterback with his drops, and showed the ability to spin the ball and hit his targets with regularity. Not only did he win the 2012 QB MVP he was the top prospect at his position in my opinion and it wasn't even close.
CONCLUSION: Has an early offer from Alabama, and if he is patient the list of suitors will reach double digits and then some. This fall he will get a chance to put up the staggering numbers fans like to see since his team is switching from the Wing-T to the spread.
RUHANN PEELE, 6-1/170, WR, LINDEN (N.J.) (2012)
ASSETS: Has excellent hands, good body control and runs sharp routes. Areas for improvement: Could improve his 40-speed just a tad while adding some needed muscle mass which will help him overpower physical corners.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: During the individual drills and one-ones he was making incredible catches with his hands away from his body. Unfortunately for him, the 2012 class of receivers was the deepest at this event as he came up short of MVP honors at his position.
CONCLUSION: Has a chance to be one of the top prospects in New Jersey for the class of 2012. Peele already has an offer from Rutgers.
ANTHONY SMITH, 6-0/285, DT, HOUSTON (TEXAS) WESTFIELD (2012)
ASSETS: Very powerful and quick off the ball.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: How much weight can his frame hold at his current height? He also needs to rely more on his technique and less on his strength.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Unfortunately for a handful of offensive linemen, Smith put them straight back on their backs off the snap of the ball. Smith had no qualms about physically dominating and embarrassing his opponents. He was an unanimous selection as DL MVP for the class of 2012.
CONCLUSION: The tag team of Smith and Desmond Jackson should be on everyone's wish list for teams to see this fall. Look for him to garner offers this fall as college coaches work there way through his school later this year.
JEFFREY THOMAS, 6-3/176, WR, DUNCANVILLE (TEXAS) (2012)
ASSETS: Has good height, soft hands and cat-like reflexes with smooth body control.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to work on running all routes and not just the deep ones over and over. In order to become a complete receiver mastering every route is a must.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: His favorite thing is to run deep and have the quarterback throw the ball up for grabs. Why? Because be consistently makes Randy Moss-type catches over the top of smaller defensive backs. He was in the top three at receiver for his age group.
CONCLUSION: Look for him to get more balls thrown his way this fall only elevating his status as a sure handed playmaker.
JEREMY WARD, 6-4/260,OT, POTTSVILLE (ARK.) (2012)
ASSETS: Has a great frame for adding more size and was the most athletic lineman in the camp.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Plays in a run-oriented offense so getting work at as many camps as possible that teach pass protection is a must. Ward also needs to relax and not overthink every situation.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Looked athletic enough to play defensive end as he whipped through the agility stations. His feet are almost too quick as he can get back into his pass set before most defenders get off the ball.
CONCLUSION: If he can relax and slow the game down a bit in his mind he has a chance to be something special. His overall athleticism is off the charts for an offensive lineman.
DUARON WILLIAMS, 6-2/292, OG, ORLANDO (FLA.) JONES (2012)
ASSETS: Has good size for a guard, nice pass set and knows how to use his long arms as weapons.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs not to give up too much ground early while pass protecting. Williams has to stay squared up on defenders, and not solely rely on his quick feet to run defenders out of the play.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Earned OL MVP honors in the deepest group of linemen in the camp. He took more reps than anyone and was able beat every defensive lineman he faced at one time or another.
CONCLUSION: Look for him to get his first official offer in September. Williams will most likely become one of the better interior linemen in the state of Florida for the class of 2012.
ZAKARY ZERQUERA, 5-11/180, ATH, HIALEAH (FLA.) AMERICAN (2013)
ASSETS: Has a very versatile body shape, quick feet, excellent ball skills and was very coachable.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Came in working out as a running back but shined as a receiver during the 7-on-7 tournament. Getting work as a corner or receiver may be more beneficial for his long-term success.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Was the top performer during agilities for the class of 2013, and dominated the games he performed in during the 7-on-7 portion of the camp. His efforts earned him ATH MVP.
CONCLUSION: I really feel his best position will end up being at cornerback or safety. Zerquera has very long arms with hips on a swivel. This combined with excellent ball skills could make him that coveted difference maker defensive coordinators desire.

Below is a breakdown of the top performers from the 2011 class at the National Ultimate 100 as seen by Rivals.com National Recruiting Analyst Barry Every.

NUC Ultimate 100: 2011 Standouts
KENTRELL BROTHERS, 6-0/207, OLB, GUTHRIE (OKLA.)
ASSETS: Very physical at the line of scrimmage while possessing excellent instincts.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Still a bit thin so adding at least 20 to 25 pounds of muscle is a must before he sees the field as an every-down linebacker at the next level.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: During one-on-ones he physically manhandled most of the running backs within five yards of the line of scrimmage.
CONCLUSION: Brothers is at 14 offers and has not hinted to a timeline for his commitment. I would still not count out the Big 12 Conference gaining his signature.
TANNER CRUM, 6-1/278, OC, MOUNT CARMEL (ILL.)
ASSETS: Has good punch, very powerful and understands the importance of leverage.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Still needs to improve lateral movement just a tad once engaged.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Crum was the most dominant offensive lineman regardless of age in the camp, taking on all challengers. He took more reps than any lineman and proved to be the top junkyard dog at this event. His effort did not go unnoticed as he was honored with the OL MVP.
CONCLUSION: Has a couple of FCS (I-AA) offers but has proven for the second time this month he has what it takes to play at the highest level. MAC, C-USA and Big East schools would be silly to pass on a quality center like Crum.
JOHN-PHILIP HUGHES, 6-4/245, TE, TULSA (OKLA.) EDISON
ASSETS: Excellent overall size, good hands and is a precise route runner.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Improving overall speed in order to make yards after the catch.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: He was the only tight end in the camp that looked like an every-down player at this time.
CONCLUSION: Several colleges are waiting to see him play early in the season before they pull the trigger. He would be a good fit in a pro-style offense in the WAC, MWC or C-USA.
JABARI HUNT-DAYS, 6-2/226, OLB, POWDER SPRINGS (GA.) HILLGROVE
ASSETS: Excellent overall body structure, good hips, tremendous athlete and a leader on the football field.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Sometimes while playing the pass he overruns the jam. If the running back is an excellent route runner he can sidestep this over aggressive movement.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Could turn and run with any back, and was excellent moving around in space while in coverage. In one of the deepest senior position groups Hunt-Days was a unanimous choice for LB MVP.
CONCLUSION: He is without a doubt the top commitment to the Yellow Jackets at this time. No player has done more to improve their stock on the camp circuit this year than this defender.
CONNOR MYERS, 6-0/287, DT, EDMOND (OKLA.) EDMOND MEMORIAL
ASSETS: Quick of the ball, very powerful and a non-stop motor.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to keep the hands of offensive linemen off his body while being more consistent with pad level.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Relentlessly attacks his opponents and if his first move does not work he counters quickly with another. His ability to use technique and dominate during one-on-ones gave him a share of the DL MVP.
CONCLUSION: Only DI offer at this time is from Air Force. He plays a tough position for colleges to find bodies that qualify. Don't be surprised if other MWC, or WAC schools end up getting in on him late.
TREVON PENDLETON, 5-11/231, FB, WEST PORTSMOUTH (OHIO) PORTSMOUTH WEST
ASSETS: The best leader and most intelligent football player in the camp that happens to run great routes while possessing soft hands.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Just trying to find the right fit either as a LB or FB at the next level. This is definitely one of the most overlooked and underrated players in the country.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Proved to have better knowledge of the game than most quarterbacks in the camp while competing at both FB and LB. He could play either at the next level and is going to make some college coach look really smart. Pendleton walked away with the ATH MVP.
CONCLUSION: Air Force and Ball State are his two offers at this time. There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the top fullbacks in the country. Look for BCS level schools that run a pro-style offense to get involved. As a linebacker he has the ability to play for any MAC school and lower tier Big Ten teams.
CHRISTIAN REEVES, 6-3/214, WR, MCDONOUGH (GA.) EAGLE'S LANDING CHRISTIAN
ASSETS: Excellent overall athlete with good body control and soft hands.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to be more aggressive when attacking the ball. He has the athletic ability to take over a camp 7-on-7 yet seems passive at times.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Has the speed and body control of a receiver. During individual work he made several catches over his shoulder, Willie Mays style. He twisted his ankle on the last rep on Day 1 and missed Sunday's 7-on-7 tournament.
CONCLUSION: Claims to be a firm commitment to Virginia Tech at this time. Reeves may be best suited as a huge receiver rather than a tight end. His skill set really has him leaning that way in my opinion.
TERRY REDDEN, 6-1/277, DT, MEMPHIS (TENN.) WHITEHAVEN
ASSETS: Wide shoulders, thick upper body, athletic legs and very coachable.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Would like to see him play with a little more fire. At times he seems very technical and relaxed which may just be his style.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Of the entire senior defensive line group, Redden took the most reps and only went against the better players. He clearly won the majority of his battles thus earning a share of the DL MVP.
CONCLUSION: Redden currently has seven offers and may be hoping for a few more especially from the SEC. He also gave no indication to when he may start to narrow his choices down.
JACOREY SHEPHERD, 5-11/170, WR, MESQUITE (TEXAS) HORN
ASSETS: Has good speed, tremendous body control and very soft hands.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Shepherd is rail thin at this time so adding size and strength is a must. I also would have liked to see him be more aggressive with the number of reps he took.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Was nearly impossible to cover during one-on-ones and 7-on-7. He has the agility and hands to make the catches that no one should be able to make.
CONCLUSION: If this Jayhawk commitment stays focused on being a great football player then he will become a serious weapon in the Big 12. He has the skill, does he have the desire?
TAYLOR WARNER, 6-4/266, OT, JACKSONVILLE (ALA.)
ASSETS: Has a nice frame, long arms and is light on his feet.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Adding some lower body size and strength should help him sit on pass rushers, stopping them dead in their tracks.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Easily the top performer at offensive tackle for seniors in this camp. He only battled the top defensive ends while winning most of his one-on-one challenges. Warner was the runner-up to Crum for OL MVP.
CONCLUSION: Has no DI offers at this time which is a little hard to believe. He could easily play either OT or OG in C-USA or the Sun Belt. He has the size and athletic ability while being tough.
DARZIL WASHINGTON, 6-3/215, OLB, EDGARD (LA.) WEST. ST. JOHN
ASSETS: Tremendous overall size and growth potential, with surprisingly superior ball skills for a linebacker.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Did not play his junior season, so most of what he has to prove is on the football field with pads donned..
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Looked natural in his backpedal and flashed incredible hands while running some routes at receiver.
CONCLUSION: Washington truly defines the term super sleeper because he did not play last year thus there is no junior film. He passes the eye test and if his senior season goes without any hiccups expect offers to come his way this fall.
ZAROLD WILDER, 5-7/175,APB, POWDER SPRINGS (GA.) MCEACHERN
ASSETS: Extremely quick, soft hands, good football instincts, is a true competitor and one tough hombre.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Finding were he fits into a college offense, either slot receiver or as a situational back. Also was the blocking back last year for the late Rajaan Bennett.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE: Everything! There was discussion about him winning RB, WR, ATH, DB, and 7-on-7 Tournament MVP. In the end his spectacular performance over the two days earned him RB and 7-on-7 MVP.
CONCLUSION: Wilder is the definition of an all-purpose back. He is dangerous in space, has tremendous ball skills, is willing to block and runs excellent routes. He is a perfect fit for the spread, but I'm sure college coaches are waiting this fall for him to become the featured back for the first time.
