This past season I suffered a concussion that sideline me for 3 games and really open my eyes to the seriousness of the head injuries. I had just two weeks prior to my injury taken what is called a base line test at a local sports medicine center. This test measures your reactions, visual, memory and motor skills to establish a base score under normal conditions. When I had my injury they were able to see how serious I was effected by having me retake the test and comparing the scores. This was a…

Well today is our last game of the season. We play Lakes High School.
As it stands, we are undefeated as a freshmen team @6-0-1, with our only tie against Yelm.
It has been almost 6 years since the Freshmen have had a season like that, and I am proud to be a part of it.
I have three positions on this team and -on offense right tackle. special teams I am the long snapper, and on defense, defensive end.

Well it seems that my season is not over.
The Varsity Head Coach just pulled me into his office and told me not to turn in my gear tomorrow.

To think it all started with going to the Schuman combine in Seatt…

The Concord Minutemen have been posting some impressive offensive numbers and it continued in its 56-20 win over Clayton Valley. Junior quarterback Ricky Lloyd had a very good game and puts so many balls on target. He has a big arm, but can combine it with excellent touch on the deep ball. Concord took advantage on the deep ball with its clear size advantage at wide receiver in 6-foot-5 Corey Galindo and 6-foot-2 juni…

Opponents of the Minutemen know highly-recruited running back Forrest Hightower can hurt them. But it has been an aerial assault that has propelled Concord (2-0) to back-to-back blowout wins.
Junior quarterback Ricky Lloyd followed up last week's five-touchdown performance by completing 24 of 35 passes for 356 yards and four TDs, with one inter…

Not just for NFL: H.S. sports combines expanding
By JEFF LATZKE (AP) – 10 hours ago
NORMAN, Okla. — As his son ran through drills alongside his high school peers, Ken McCarthy sat in a lawn chair — video camera in hand — and assessed how 15-year-old Corbin was stacking up.
The young running back from Norco, Calif., is hoping to get noticed by the likes of Southern California, Notre Dame or Oklahoma — while Dad has the Ivy League in mind.
"These are supposedly the best of the best," said McCarthy…
